PROJECT OVERVIEW

Emo Cultural Village Kitengela

The epicenter of EMO Cultural Village concept is the cultural village which will be the living museum set aside to depict the lifestyles, activities and artefacts of the Kalenjin and pastoral communities’ culture. It epitomizes the nexus and convergence of culture and modern day living as an embodiment of identity and cultural diversity in the context of the Kenyan Nation.

LOCATION AND DISTANCE

Emo Village is located 7 Km from Kitengela Town and 1 Km off Nairobi – Namanga highway in Kajiado County, a scenic retreat site away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

 NEIGHBORHOOD AND UPCOMING DEVELOPMENT

The Village is adjacent to Enkasiti Resort. The neighborhood also has integrated developments that include; Acacia Crest Academy, Ostrich Farm, KAG University, East African University. 

LAND SIZE AND FEATURES

The project land size is 6.5 acres located in a serene place with a river frontage and a wetland ecosystem blended with indigenous trees and splendid view ideal for birds watching.

PROJECT SITE DESCRIPTION

Emo Cultural Village comprises of the following developments

  1. A Cultural Village

This section is set up to depict the cultural homesteads for communities living in the Rift Valley. It will comprise of traditional homes complete with all artefacts and structures that make up a cultural village.

It will also have a section where the communities carry out their cultural events and a special area set aside for initiation ceremonies commonly referred to as Menjet.

  1. Recreational Facilities

We also have a section set aside for recreational facilities which include;

a). A Club House complete with; a Gymnasium, Mini-restaurant/ Coffee Bar, Swimming Pool, Changing Rooms, Spa & Wellness Centre, Saloon & Barbershop, Grocery Stores, Carwash etc.

b). Events Grounds which will also be used for outdoor sports and other social events.

  1. Residential Areas

This section, which covers slightly over five acres, shall accommodate at least forty residential homes sitting on an eighth of an acre each with tittle deeds. All the forty plots have been taken up and paid for by members who are currently in the process of developing the same.

This will be a gated community setup complete with controlled development. Some of the salient features include; paved internal roads and drainage system, landscaped common areas, perimeter wall with electric fencing, security surveillance cameras, street lighting, and borehole water among others.

PROJECT FINANCING STRUCTURE

Negotiated financing options by Cooperative Bank of Kenya. 

  • Plot Purchase – 80% financing of purchase price for a tenor of 7 years.
  • Construction – 80% financing of the construction cost with 12 months moratorium on construction period for maximum tenor of 20 years.
